My problem is that my screen saver will not operate at all, no matter what settings I use. It does work when I use the 'preview' function though. I am using the inbuilt standard screensavers.
No errors pop up, the screen saver just does not actuivate whenthe alloted time has passed.I am running Windows 7 x64. It's updated to the fullest extent via Windows Update. My mobo is a Gigabyte X79-UD3 running F16 Bios, the latest version.I recently replaced my graphics with a new GTX 780Ti and I am using the latest drivers but the problems existed before the upgrade. My screen saver is set to blank screen after 1 minute (just for testing, it's normally set to 10 minutes) and used to work perfectly in the past.
I can't honestly remember when it stopped working as I am usually at the computer, so have no need of it. All mydisplays are set to turn off after 30 minutes (three Dell U2413 24' WS monitors), my computer is set to never sleep and hard drive set to never turn off (Kingston SSD as C: drive). Allow wake timers set to disabled. USB selective suspend setting set to disabled. All Human input devices have 'Aloow this device to wake the computer' unticked.I am using a Wireless Logitech G700s mouse and wired Logitech G19 keyboard.
I mention this as my research has said that this could be the cause. However, I have removed and uninstalled the keyboard and mouse drivers and this hasn't rectified my problem. I amusing the latest drivers for both, downloaded and installed from the manufacturers website today. My Powercfg /energy report highlighted the issue for me I think and I list them below. My problem is that I have no idea how to fix these errors, so any help would be really gratefully received please. For reference, my Device Manager is saying that I have three Generic USB Hubs, four USB Composite Devices, one USB Mass Storage Device and two USB Root Hubs, all seemingly not entering 'suspend state.'
I've tried various other things over the last two months or so since I noticed this issue but I can't honestly remember what they are. Please respond if you have any ideas and I will happily reply with the results.I am using ESET Node32 and I have tried this with that switched off but no luck.I have used sfc /scannow but the system file checker doesn't report any errors.I can manually run all the screensavers by using the 'Preview' button and they all work fine when done using this method.USB Suspend:USB Device not Entering SuspendThe USB device did not enter the Suspend state. There are no further updates to apply at all, whether they are important updates, suggested ones, alternate ones or optional updates. The Microsoft HID non-user input data filter was never in the list of updates. SkypeNovember has arrived, which means day after day of gray skies and rain here in the Pacific Northwest. But I have a new theme to beautify and brighten your season –!
For those of us in the United States, but I designed it to celebrate harvests everywhere. Harvest Time has images from across the world and features many different crops, including olives, grapes, rice, wheat, corn, apples, and more.Which brings me to the next topic Do you ever look at the of your current theme and think, “Where was that picture taken?” or “I wish I knew what that is!” or “Who was the photographer?” Here’s how you can get more information on many of the pictures in the themes.1. Open Personalization by right-clicking the desktop and choosing Personalize from the menu.2. Click the theme that you want to get more information about.3. Click Desktop Background.4. Hover with your mouse pointer over the image to see a tooltip containing summary information about that image.
The last line of the summary shows the title, which often includes location information.5. To get even more information, select the one image you want information about (make sure it is the only one selected), right-click on it, and choose Properties.6. Click on the Details tab. To see the full contents of any of the fields on this tab, hover over it with your mouse pointer.I’m sorry to say that not every theme has information that you can find this way, but most do. It’s something I try to include as often as possible when I’m producing themes (or working with partners to produce themes) because I like to know more about the photos, so I figure other people probably want to know, too.Why don’t we put the information right on the picture? Well, we thought about it, but decided it might be kind of distracting. So we tucked away that information in the metadata instead.I hope this tip enhances your enjoyment of the and that helps brighten your November.
